What’s Being Recalled
The recall covers the “4-in-1 Baby Safety Cart Carriage,” a stroller that converts into a handheld infant carrier, according to the official CPSC recall notice. About 15 units were sold on AliExpress.com between September 2024 and October 2025, priced from $215 to $415, in colors including pink, blue, green, red, teal, gray, and black, paired with gray or black infant inserts. CPSC notes the strollers carry no manufacturer markings, part of why the product was able to reach consumers without meeting basic safety standards.
The Hazard, In CPSC’s Words
CPSC’s notice states the stroller’s “restraint system can fail, posing a risk of serious injury or deadly fall hazard,” and that the product violates the mandatory federal safety standard every stroller sold in the U.S. is required to meet. No injuries have been reported to CPSC tied to this specific listing so far, but the agency issued the recall because the locking mechanism itself does not reliably hold, not because of a defect limited to a few isolated units.
Why There’s No Repair Option
Unlike recalls from established stroller brands, this one comes with no fix. CPSC’s stroller recall listings show that many marketplace-sold products lack a U.S.-based manufacturer capable of issuing replacement parts or repair kits, leaving refund as the only remedy on offer. AliExpress, based in San Mateo, California, is listed as the recalling firm even though the product was sold by a third-party storefront, Yanggu Caroline Electronic Commerce Co., operating as SX-BB Store, and manufactured in China.
What Affected Parents Should Do
CPSC instructs consumers to stop using the stroller immediately, cut the restraint straps so the product cannot be reused, photograph the cut restraints, and email the photo to us_product_recall@aliexpress.com to receive a full refund. Because the product carries no brand name or model number printed on it, parents who bought a similar-looking convertible stroller through a third-party marketplace seller and aren’t sure whether theirs is included should compare it directly against the photos in CPSC’s notice rather than relying on memory of the listing. The recall is a reminder that marketplace platforms selling directly to U.S. shoppers are still expected to meet the same federal stroller standard as any major retailer, even when the seller behind the listing is difficult to trace.
