Woman Declutters Her Closet And Finds Brand New Clothes Still With Tags Plus Shoes That Somehow Survived Two Different Moves

Ever start sorting your closet and stumble onto something you bought, never wore, and forgot about entirely? A TikTok creator did exactly that on camera, and her honest, funny reactions turned a closet cleanout into a very relatable episode.

The creator, @_jamielwolf, says in her video that she has been in her room too long and suddenly wants to switch everything around. She pretty much wants to redo her entire apartment, but first she has to declutter and organize. Her last episode tackled the storage closet. This time she takes on the clothes, and she tells her audience she cannot believe she is showing them.

Her system is easy to follow. She goes through each item and calls it out loud: donate or keep. The video moves fast, but the little reactions in between are what make it fun to watch.

Shoes That Survived Two Moves

The shoes were the biggest source of drama. She finds a pair she has had since high school and says they are literally broken, wondering what they are even doing in her closet. Those go in the trash. Another pair has been worn to the ground, so they are donated.

Some pairs pull at her heartstrings. She loves an orange pair that she never wears, and she owns the exact same shoes in purple. She says “donate” at first, then stops and changes her mind about one, deciding to keep it a little longer because she is sad to let it go.

The standout moment comes when she holds up a pair she has not worn in years. She cannot believe how they have made it through two different moves, since she keeps packing them and bringing them along. This time she decides it is time to part ways, and they go in the donate pile.

Brand New With Tags

Clothes bring more surprises. She pulls out a piece that is brand new with tags still on, and she says she thinks she missed the return date. Hiding in the back of the closet, she also finds items that have been shoved down there since the day she moved in a year and a half ago. She laughs and calls herself a hoarder.

The creator also checks her sweatshirts and finds a heap of them. Some she wants to keep but they are way too small. One she has had since college, and she decides to rock it for another year. Another used to be a favorite but now she never reaches for it, so it goes.

She is honest about her habits. She owns the same top in four colors and keeps all four because she loves them. She has another top in three colors. A tank top she bought gets a reality check, because she says she would be lying to herself if she claimed she would wear it again. A halter top is out too, since she is past her halter top phase.

At one point she finds a white item that has turned yellow and decides to throw it out. Elsewhere she spots a couple of her newest pieces and happily keeps them. Near the end, her microphone dies at what she calls the most perfect ASMR moment of the video, so she tells followers they will have to pretend. Part three, she says, will cover her makeup vanity.

What Her Closet Cleanout Teaches

This video is a good reminder that the closet is full of surprises, and the biggest ones are usually things you forgot you owned. Brand new clothes with tags, duplicate shoes, and pieces that have outlived their purpose all hide in plain sight. These steps can help you handle your own.

  1. Pull everything out category by category, such as shoes, sweatshirts, and tops, so you can see duplicates side by side.
  2. Say donate or keep out loud and move on. If you cannot decide in a few seconds, put the piece in a maybe pile and revisit it.
  3. Check the tags. Items that are new with tags may still be returnable, and many stores publish their return windows online. If the window has passed, consider reselling them on a marketplace app.
  4. Look at shoes honestly. If they hurt, are broken, or have not been worn in years, they have earned a spot in the donate or trash bin.
  5. Limit repeats. Keeping one top in four colors is fine if you wear all four, but extras you never reach for are taking up space.

Making Peace With Letting Go

It is normal to feel a little sad about some pieces, and she shows it. She says certain items hurt her heart a little, and she lets herself keep some of them for another year. That flexibility is useful. A purge does not have to be ruthless to be effective, and keeping a few sentimental favorites makes it easier to let go of the rest.

Her caption calls the experience feeling amazing again, and says it may be her new favorite hobby. If a closet cleanout can turn into a hobby, that is a good sign it is working. Take a cue from her and treat your own closet like a series of small, quick decisions, with a laugh for every surprise you find.
