12 Things I Always Buy at the Dollar Store

Who doesn’t love a great bargain? If you’re anything like me, the thrill of finding a steal is almost as good as the purchase itself. The Dollar Store is an absolute treasure trove for such deals. This is where I’ve honed my bargain hunting skills and unearthed some fantastic finds. I’m excited to share with you my list of 12 things I always buy at the Dollar Store.

1. Cleaning Supplies

The Dollar Store is a goldmine for cleaning supplies. From disinfecting wipes to dish soap, it has everything you need to keep your home spick and span without breaking the bank. Many of these items are the same quality as you would find in other stores, but at a fraction of the price.

For example, I’ve found that the $1 glass cleaner at the Dollar Store works just as well as the $3 version at my local grocery store. Additionally, they often carry name brand items like Dawn dish soap and Spic and Span multi-surface cleaner at significantly discounted prices. It’s definitely a smart move to stock up on these items here.

2. Party Supplies

If you’re throwing a party, the Dollar Store is your go-to for decorations, party favors, and even tableware. I’ve saved a ton of money by purchasing my party supplies here instead of at a party store.

For example, they have a great selection of themed party decorations and tableware, from birthday parties to baby showers. You can find everything from balloons to tablecloths, all for $1 each. Plus, the selection changes seasonally, so you can always find something new and exciting for your next event.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been in a pinch for a greeting card and ended up spending $5 at a grocery store. The Dollar Store always has a wide variety of greeting cards for only 50 cents to a dollar each.

They have everything from birthday cards to sympathy cards, all with lovely sentiments and designs. The quality is comparable to those you’d find in other stores, but for a fraction of the price. So, why not stock up on a variety of cards to have on hand for any occasion?

The Dollar Store is a great place to pick up inexpensive toys for kids. They have a wide variety of toys that are perfect for stocking stuffers, party favors, or just a small surprise to brighten a child’s day.

From puzzles to dolls to action figures, you’ll be amazed at what you can find for just a dollar. And while these toys may not be the most durable, they’re perfect for occasions when you need a quick, inexpensive gift.

5. Spices

Yes, you read that right! The Dollar Store is a great place to buy spices. They have a good selection of basic spices that you would typically use in everyday cooking.

While they may not have every spice you need, they usually carry the basics like garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and chili powder. So, if you’re in need of some basic spices, check out the Dollar Store before heading to a more expensive grocery store.

6. Storage Containers

If you’re in need of some additional storage, the Dollar Store has a great selection of storage containers. From small containers for organizing your office supplies to larger bins for storing clothes or toys, you can find a variety of sizes and styles.

Not only are these containers affordable, but they’re also pretty sturdy. I’ve used them for everything from storing Christmas decorations to organizing my pantry, and they’ve held up really well.

Last but not least, the Dollar Store is my go-to for gift wrapping supplies. They have a great selection of gift bags, wrapping paper, ribbons, and bows, all for just a dollar each.
