She explained that her mother-in-law refused to give a speech despite previously saying she would. Instead, as she walked up the stairs to the ceremony area, she told the matron of honor, “I’m not giving no effing speech.” The bride noted that while her feelings could be strong, the mother-in-law didn’t set aside her own issues for her son’s big day.
During the photo shoot, the mother-in-law reportedly gave the bride a “mean look” and tried to play it off as a joke, making the bride uncomfortable. “I just had a frown and I was locked eyes with this 60-something-year-old lady, mean mugging me,” the bride said, describing her struggle to keep composure.
