Mom Says Sick Husband, New Fridge Delivery, and Hauling Food Down Three Flights With No Elevator Turned Her Morning Into Total Chaos

Mornings with a baby are already unpredictable. Add a sick partner, a major appliance delivery, and an apartment without an elevator, and things can spiral fast.

One mom recently shared a candid glimpse into her hectic morning routine after multiple stressful situations piled up at once. Her story struck a chord with viewers who know exactly how quickly everyday responsibilities can stack up when you’re running a household.

What started as a normal day quickly turned into a whirlwind of errands, chores, and problem-solving before the morning was even over.

A Sick Partner Sparks Panic

In a video posted to TikTok, creator @mommymob explained that the chaos began when her partner, Feather, woke up suddenly feeling sick.

According to her, the symptoms seemed serious enough that she immediately insisted he see a doctor.

“Yesterday, out of nowhere, Feather woke up not feeling great,” she explained. “I think he has the flu.”

She didn’t want to take any chances, especially because the last time illness hit their household it dragged on for weeks.

“He’s going to the doctor right now,” she said. “You are getting this appointment right now. Go to the doctor and ask for Tamiflu because we cannot have this.”

Her concern wasn’t just about him being sick—it was about what might happen if the illness spread through the entire family again.

A Never-Ending Cycle of Illness

The mom explained that the last time someone in the household got sick, it turned into a long, exhausting cycle.

“He got sick, I got sick, and then the baby got sick,” she said. “It was a never-ending cycle.”

According to her, the illness lasted nearly two months as it passed from one family member to the next. That experience made her determined to act quickly this time.

Avoiding a repeat of that situation became the top priority.

But the morning’s chaos didn’t stop there.

A Refrigerator Delivery Creates Even More Work

On top of dealing with a sick partner, the household was also scheduled to receive a new refrigerator that same day.

That meant the current fridge and freezer had to be emptied before the delivery crew arrived.

She described waking up early and packing everything from the refrigerator and freezer into large garbage bags.

“It was heavy,” she said, explaining that all the food had to be moved out quickly before the delivery team showed up.

The challenge was made even harder by the fact that she lives in a third-floor apartment.

And there’s no elevator.

So she spent the morning going up and down the stairs repeatedly, hauling bags filled with frozen and refrigerated food.

“My workout is done for the day,” she joked after the exhausting task.

Trying to Get the House Presentable

Even after the stairs, the work still wasn’t finished.

The mom explained that she needed to quickly tackle other chores before the refrigerator delivery team arrived.

With a baby to care for at the same time, she relied on a familiar trick: turning on the TV to keep the child occupied long enough to get things done.

She rushed to do the dishes before the workers came inside the apartment.

Like many people, she admitted she didn’t want strangers walking into a messy kitchen.

“I need to have the TV on, keep her occupied, so I can do the dishes before the men who are delivering the refrigerator come in here,” she said.

Between the sickness scare, the heavy lifting, and the cleaning, the morning felt endless.

“God, it just doesn’t end,” she added with a laugh. “Love that for me.”

Viewers Call Her a “Superwoman”

In the comments, viewers sympathized with the overwhelming morning she described.

One person summed it up simply, calling her “Superwoman” for juggling so many responsibilities at once.

Others reacted with sympathy, acknowledging how exhausting it can be to manage a household while also caring for a sick family member and a child.

For many parents watching the video, the story was instantly relatable: sometimes a single morning can feel like an entire day’s worth of challenges packed into a few hours.
