Anyone who has worked in the service industry knows that dealing with difficult customers can come with the job. But one bartender says the behavior he recently witnessed from a group of patrons crossed a line—and he decided to call it out publicly.

In a viral TikTok, creator @injaywetrustdenver shared a moment from his shift that left him stunned, showing viewers the kind of mess bartenders sometimes deal with after customers leave.
Bartender Steps Outside to Share His Frustration

The creator explained that he works as a bartender and often posts videos talking about what he calls “scummy people and nonsense” he encounters while working.
During one shift, he stepped outside the bar to record a quick message because the music inside was too loud.
He said he wanted viewers to see firsthand what servers and bartenders sometimes face after customers leave.
The Mess Left Behind
Then he walked back inside and pointed his camera toward the bar top.
Scattered across the surface were several small pouches that had clearly been used and discarded.
They were ZYN nicotine pouches—a popular smokeless nicotine product that users typically place under their lip.
Instead of throwing the used pouches away, the bartender said the customers had spit them directly onto the bar.
“They Told Me I Was a Great Bartender”
What made the situation even more frustrating, he explained, was the way the customers behaved before leaving.
According to him, the same group had just thanked him for his service and told him he was a great bartender.
Moments later, they walked out—leaving the used nicotine pouches scattered across the bar top for him to clean up.
He said he hadn’t even had time to wipe the area down yet when he started filming the video.
Viewers React to the Situation
The video quickly drew reactions from viewers who said they couldn’t believe customers would leave something like that behind.
One commenter called the behavior “messed up,” while another pointed out that people who use nicotine pouches should know better than to leave them around like trash.
Some viewers who said they also use ZYN products explained that they would never discard them like that. One person said they usually end up finding used pouches in their own pockets instead of leaving them behind in public places.
Others compared the act to littering, arguing that bartenders and servers shouldn’t have to deal with cleaning up something so unpleasant after customers leave.
A Reminder of What Service Workers Deal With
For the bartender, the video served as a reminder of the less glamorous side of the hospitality industry.
Even when customers appear friendly and appreciative, the aftermath they leave behind can tell a very different story.
And for many people who have worked behind a bar or in a restaurant, the situation looked all too familiar.
